Andrei Kuzmenko turned to Mikheyev for advice in picking his final NHL destination, which proved to be Vancouver.
But by Thursday morning, there was little doubt that Mikheyev was a big fan of Vancouver, both the city itself and what the organization seemed to have as a plan.
