Headtubes got a bit taller, too, based on rider feedback. Apparently folks thought the front end was a little low, so they made them 10-25mm taller, depending on frame size. Inside it, they’re now spec’ing a 44/56 inset headsets, which were already used across the rest of the line, so this helps streamline their inventory, too.the TRP TR12 shifter and derailleur…or you can swap in a SRAM Eagle cassette, derailleur and shifter if you want.
Choose from Cane Creek, RockShox, MRP, DVO, EXT and other forks and shocks, e*thirteen and Atomik Carbon for wheels, and various Maxxis tires. Switch it to a mixed wheel build, too, if you want, by putting a 29er up front. Brakes are TRP or Magura, and dropper seat posts are from SDG with frame size-specific travel.
“The Balance holds a special place in our lineup,” said Lance Canfield, CEO and designer. “It was the first bike to feature CBF suspension, expanding the possibilities of an aggressive big-hit bike burly enough for the bike park yet efficient enough for all-day epics. And we still think 27.5-inch wheels are a ton of fun.”
Available in Goat’s Blood deep-red powder coat and Stealth black anodized finishes, they’re available for pre-order now at a slight discount with delivery expected in November 2022.
