Statistics Canada said in a flash estimate on Wednesday that retail sales were also likely up 0.4% in July

Canadian retail sales grew by 0.1 per cent in June from May at $65.92-billion, led by increases at motor vehicle and parts dealers as well as gasoline stations and fuel vendors, Statistics Canada said on Wednesday. Sales were likely up 0.4 per cent in July, the agency said in a flash estimate.

In June, sales were up in three of nine sub-sectors, representing 42.8 per cent of retail trade. In volume terms, retail sales decreased 0.2 per cent.
