Executives in Canada’s auto industry are beginning to fret over a potential strike at the Canada Border Services Agency .
“A strike is obviously of significant concern to our manufacturing members given their exposure to cross border parts and components supply,” Global Automakers of Canada CEO David Adams, who represents the interests of overseas automakers in Canada, told Automotive News Canada. “All of our members are concerned that despite the fact that 90 per cent of CBSA workers are designated essential, working to rule could significantly slow down border crossings and port operations.
