From Edmonton\u0027s Legislature Building to the Calgary Zoo, Alberta Tourism promotes a Last of Us road trip through Alberta

So we’re hoping we can answer that question after the summer season.”
In Episode 5, a particularly dramatic scene was filmed at Nanton’s Ranchland Inn, which saw a massive boost in business after the episode aired.A man looks down from an office building at the post-apocalyptic scene created in Edmonton’s Rice Howard Way, as crews prepare for filming on the HBO series The Last of Us in 2021.In March, gamblingngo.com did a study using hashtag data from Instagram that showed an upswing in posts to locations where the series was filmed.
A still image from the HBO series The Last of Us shows the 4th Avenue Flyover into downtown Calgary, which has been heavily digitized. “We all know that Canmore, for the residents and for visitors, nourishes your soul,” says Ludwig. “So having Canmore be the safe haven in the episode where everyone gets together again and is reunited was good to see.”Of course, Canmore is just one location that the show’s fans can visit. Those who want to see the bridge that was in the background when Joel and Ellie drove along the highway in Episode 4 can go to Lethbridge and see the High Level Bridge.
