Purdy did everything right but threw a bad pass that was behind Samuel. Still, Purdy’s poise and aggression on the play are striking and bode well. Even on the one interception he threw against the Dolphins, I liked the willingness to throw to Aiyuk against one-on-one bump-and-run coverage. The ball should have been thrown to Aiyuk’s back shoulder, and corner“I think Brock naturally looks a lot more often for the deeper one than the shorter one, which is awesome,” Shanahan said.
