Some fans are calling for Formula One to re-think their policy on allowing celebrities onto the grid after Cara Delevingne's refusal to talk to Martin Brundle. ‘I honestly think we should have a “chart of rudeness” in F1!'
Brundle’s pre-race grid walks are a well-known tradition and much-enjoyed part of a grand prix weekend where the former racer and legendary pundit interviews drivers, team bosses and famous faces.
The rule states that celebrities who are invited onto the starting grid are not allowed to bring their security with them, and although they are not obliged to speak to the media, they are advised and encouraged to do so. Delevingne is not the first person to have blatantly ignored this rule, and as such some fans believe changes should be made.Next time, take the grid passes from people who donât care and give it to some deserving kids who will treasure the experienceâ¦.
