A 21-year-old man's accused of attacking a grandmother in her home in Esibizane Village.

In a media statement, the department detailed how the 84-year-old woman was overpowered by her attacker, who broke into her house while she was alone.Her neighbour came to her assistance and the man was arrested.Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza's commended police for their swift response but condemned the attack, saying the elderly should not have to live in fear.
