Fans for Eamonn Holmes have called for him to be the “new James Bond” after he posted a mysterious photo on Instagram. The GB news presenter shared a black-and-white image of himself looking pensively straight at the camera.
Eamonn has one eyebrow raised with his fingers pressed to his chin in a ‘gun’-type shape and a brooding stare reminiscent of James Bond actor Sean Connery. The 64-year-old captioned the image: “A lot to think about …..one of those days.” Fans were quick to comment on the post which has acquired more than 4,000 likes, speculating if he could be the new James Bond. Instagram user Jayne.mathews.60 wrote: “Thought you were the new James Bond!!!”User Bevcroshaw wondered whether taking on the role of cinema’s famous spy was what Eamonn was referring to when he said “a lot to think about”.
Instagram Fionaharruman22 said: “James Bond” with a love heart emoji while user Fiona.doolan simply wrote: “Bond.” Meanwhile Janward4 suggested he was reminiscent of another Hollywood star. They wrote: “Channelling Goerge Clooney Eamonn. Looking good” with a fire emoji. Jarmen18 called for Eamonn to reunite with his wife Ruth Langsford, they said: “Need Eamonn and Ruth on a day time show.”
Fellow celebrities flooded Eamonn with compliments too. Radio presenter Nicki Chapman said: “Gorgeous!!” while Carol Vordeman simply said: “Ooooofffffff.” TV presenter Amanda Lamb commented: “Good Lord!!!!! That’s such an amazing photo of you…I blow that bad boy up and stick it all over the house.”
