Paula Beth James, 68, was rescued after her Toyota 4Runner was spotted by a helicopter in Butte Meadows, California.
A California woman was found alive in her car almost a week after she was reported missing.
James was reported missing after she was last seen on January 9 at her home in Oroville, California, and a Silver Alert was issued in a bid to locate James over the weekend. The sheriff's office said she suffers from dementia and may have become disorientated. After landing the helicopter, two sheriff's office employees hiked to where the car was and found James alive inside.
