Calgary Surge finish CEBL regular season with win, keep No. 1 seed hopes alive yyc
The Surge wrapped up their inaugural Canadian Elite Basketball League regular season with an 92-89 win over the host Saskatchewan Rattlers on Friday night. They also kept alive their hopes to earn the No. 1 seed for the Western Conference playoffs.Five Calgary players recorded double figures in scoring: Sean Miller-Moore , Stefan Smith , Admon Gilder Jr. and Simi Shittu and Terry Henderson Jr. .
The Surge finish the campaign with a 12-8 record, and sit a half-game back of the Western Conference-leading Sea Bears . Calgary holds the tiebreaker. The Sea Bears host the Stingers on Saturday night in their regular-season finale with first place in the West on the line. A Sea Bears win on Saturday will leave the Surge in second place and trigger a play-in Battle on Alberta at WinSport Event Centre.
