Calgary minor hockey club awarded $25K to subsidize player fees yyc
Calgary’s Knights Hockey Club received the grant, alongside five other minor hockey associations across the country, through the Kruger Big Assist program. “We’re going to be putting the money into that so we’re able to help more families become registered, help with equipment, and help just offset the rising costs of certain things,” said Stacey McMurrer, the club’s special events director. “We really want to have this as a game that anybody can play, because I know hockey can be expensive. We want to be able to get kids to come and play even if they have those financial barriers.”Article content
