The airport has also signed a new deal with two Calgary taxi companies for pick-up service. Checker Cabs and Associated Cabs will share the contract to serve the arrivals area. Customers can now get a taxi at arrival doors 2, 13 and between 15 and 16. The airport previously signed an 18-month contract with Associated Cab, Calgary United Cab and Calgary City Cab for airport service in July 2021, which expired at the end of last month.The airport authority said it used low-traffic times during the pandemic to make enhancements at the curb, such as illuminated signs and improved loading areas for accessible vehicles.
