Calgary fire crews were battling a blaze at a home in the city\u0027s southeast Saturday that left seven people temporarily out in the cold.
Calgary 911 began receiving calls of a residential structural fire at a fourplex in the zero-to-100 block ofaround 11:20 a.m. Fire crews arrived one minute later and found large volumes of smoke and fire. Seven people evacuated the building, four of whom were suffering from smoke inhalation. The patients were transported to hospital. Fire crews remained on scene around 2 p.m where they expected to remain for several hours. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire while crews work to extinguish any remaining hot spots.
