“There are a whole number of amenities that we need downtown, especially if we’re going to be inviting all these new residents in with the office-to-residential conversion project,” she said. Incentivizing more hotels and performing arts space will help with the city’s goal to revitalize downtown and make it a place tourists will want to visit and spend time.
He said seven years ago Strategic predicted that there would be an oversupply of office space, and the pandemic has brought that into focus.
