“Yeah … I think it’s pretty cool,” agreed Lucas McGowan, captain of the Calgary Buffaloes ahead of the six-day event being played at both Max Bell Centre and Tsuut’ina Nation’s 7 Chiefs Sportsplex. “Playing the Chicago team from the U.S., that’ll be pretty cool.Indeed, the Buffaloes — one of the pre-tourney favourites with a 19-0-1 record in tow — set up to play against one of the Circle K Classic’s most intriguing sides in the expanded 32-team format.
Whatever schemes are drawn out in hopes of claiming The Circle K, the large dose of international flavour should further spice up the already-dynamic tournament for under-18 talents.
