“I’m excited about the ideas of, you know, we’re hopefully gonna get our first win, we’re going to score our first World Cup goal. These are definitely historic moments that are going to be neat to see when we’re over there,” said MacTavish. One of those individuals is Tasos Doganis, who made the trip to Edmonton last year to watch the team beat Costa Rica and Mexico in freezing cold temperatures, as well as a trip to Hamilton where he saw the team beat the United States.

Doganis said he is excited to see the team’s young stars play on the world stage, noting many are playing important roles for their club teams in the world’s most competitive leagues.
