During the third quarter of the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky game, Sky center Angel Reese was assessed a flagrant foul for knocking Fever star Caitlin Clark in the head. Reese went up for the block on a drive to the rim by Clark but ended up hitting her squarely in the head. It didn't look to be an intentional play by Reese. But this sparked all sorts of narratives and brought up the exterior storylines that have been going around between the two players for years.
Carter knocked Clark to the ground in an unnecessary move and proceeded to avoid any questions about it after the game. She also took to social media to rip the skillset of Clark, which sparked all sorts of other noise.There has been some controversy around Clark since she was drafted, with some in the WNBA angry about all the extra coverage she has gotten.
