Usuthu held their own in their Group B opener against CAF Confederation Cup holders Raja Casablanca away last weekend but suffered a late and narrow 1-0 loss.
Benni McCarthy's charges, as a result, lost their third game in a row in all competitions, after back-to-back defeats to Orlando Pirates in the league and Nedbank Cup. Similarly, Horoya started their group campaign on a bad note after a narrow 1-0 loss to Algerian side ES Setif. However, the Guinean outfit are on a nine-game winning run in the domestic league and will be fired up to get off the mark in the section against tournament debutants.
