After a month of interviewing and narrowing its pool of candidates, the Akron Public Schools Board of Education's vote for the next superintendent has concluded with a 7-0 consensus in favor of Robinson.
AKRON, Ohio – After a month of interviewing and narrow its pool of candidates, the Akron Public Schools Board of Education on Thursday night voted 6-1 to select C. Michael Robinson Jr. as the district’s next superintendent.
“I am extremely pleased and humbly honored to be joining the Akron Public Schools family. Together, with the students, staff, parents, and community, we will take APS to new heights, and I’m very excited to be a part of this journey,” Robinson said in a statement.
