The City of Quinte West Planning Advisory Committee has approved zoning by-law amendments for a property in the north end of Trenton on the west side of the Trent River that will allow a planned housing development to move forward.
The plan for 20 stacked townhouses on a pie-shaped piece of property flanked by Front Street, Water Street, and Nicholas Street already received approval through an Official Plan amendment. The zoning by-law amendments will allow for setback changes, reduced lot frontage and lot area per dwelling unit as well as a reduction in parking spaces that are necessary because of the triangular shape of the property.Lower Trent Conservation sold the property, located on the west side of the Trent River, several years ago.
