A road in Bulwell has been partially closed due to a large sinkhole caused by damaged pipework appearing. Nottingham City Council has issued a statement after the defect was reported in Highbury Road, near Bulwell and Highbury Vale
A section of Highbury Road is closed as work to repair the sinkhole is under way. between the road gully and the main sewer, Nottingham City Council confirmed on Wednesday, October 4. The site, which has closed off, will be repaired and completed in the coming days by a specialist contractor. In a statement, a Nottingham City Council spokesperson said: “Highways team has been on site today and established this was caused by damaged pipework between the road gully and the main sewer.“We’ve instructed a specialist contractor to carry out the repair and this should be completed in the coming days.
