Businessman, alleged Sexy Boys gang boss, henchmen plead not guilty to slew of charges
Controversial businessman Mark Lifman, alleged Sexy Boys gang boss Jerome Booysen and 12 other men all pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges put to them in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.
The central charge is the murder of steroid smuggler Brian Weinstein, but the 36 charges on the indictment include an incident where about 100 people descended on well-known bars in Cape Town in what is understood to have been a disagreement over restaurant and nightclub security contracts. According to the charge sheet, the accused actively participated in a criminal gang as well as wilfully aiding and abetting criminal activity committed for the benefit of the 27s prison gang.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
