Arriva will be making changes to the 500 bus that runs from Watford High Street to Aylesbury Bus Station in Buckinghamshire.
As of October 31, the route will stop at Hemel Hempstead and will no longer serve areas including Berkhamsted, Tring and Aylesbury. However a new route stopping at Watford, the 508, will run between Hemel Hempstead and Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood. An Arriva spokesperson said the route was split to “help the reliability of the service”.
They said: “By splitting the service, we can improve the reliability of each leg, in turn this also allows us to provide new links from South Watford to Hemel Hempstead. “There will be opportunities to change onto the connecting service for those passengers who are crossing Hemel Hempstead.”
