Stagecoach says it will not run buses after 6pm from Kilmarnock Bus Station due to anti-social behaviour.

A bus operator has said it will no longer run evening services from Kilmarnock Bus Station due to anti-social behaviour.East Ayrshire councillor Barry Douglas said incidents involving "gangs of youths" had been going on for a while but had "escalated in recent days".

A spokeswoman for Stagecoach West Scotland said: "We have recently been experiencing some anti-social behaviour and safety-related issues at Kilmarnock Bus Station, and so reluctantly we have taken the decision to stop serving the station after 6pm.
