Emergency services attended the incident and a road closure was put in place on Church Street. It remains in place for around one hour and reopened at 7.40pm. Please keep in mind this area is going to be congested and plan your route accordingly. Many thanks."
In an updated statement, a spokesperson added: "We were called at around 6.30pm to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car, on Church Street, Burnley. The motorcyclist suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital. The road was closed until around 7.40pm."
