The development includes the possibility of converting office space to a hotel.

At 6645 to 6707 Dow Ave., developer Peterson plans to build a two-tower condo building with a commercial office building with ground-oriented retail, a midrise non-market rental building and market strata townhomes.

On the site now, in Metrotown’s Maywood neighbourhood, there is currently a two-to-three-storey rental apartment building built between 1955 and 1964, with 112 rental units. Due to “uncertain market conditions,” the developer is proposing the option to convert the proposed commercial office space in the taller tower to a hotel at a later date. The project includes a total of 1,250 parking spots.
