Burnaby RCMP are investigating a break-in at Mon Paris Patisserie in Metrotown early Monday morning.
Officers were called to Mon Paris Patisserie at 4396 Beresford St. for reports of an alarm at 3:20 a.m., according to Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj.“They smashed the glass doors, and, as far as we can tell, they went directly to the cash register and took whatever they could find,” Kalanj said.
After shattering the door, the culprits took just $300, according to a post on the bakery’s Instagram account.Opened in 2017 by chef Elena Krasnova, Mon Paris specializes in pastries, chocolates and desserts.
