Burn ban declared in Prince Edward County
A full burn ban has been declared in Prince Edward County.
Effective Saturday, Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue is restricting all burning in the municipality due to high winds. The burn ban restricts all fires including campfires, burn barrels, chimeneas, brush piles and yard waste. Cooking devices such as barbecues are still allowed. The restriction is due to high winds and dry conditions in the forecast over the next several days. The burn ban will remain in effect until Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue has determined that the fire risk level is acceptable.
