With two losses heading into Friday morning’s draw, playing in a triple-knockout format, both Thunder Bay skips pulled out wins to stay in contention at the Northern Ontario provincial playdowns at the Kenora Recreation Centre.
Burgess did the same to Kenora’s other entry, stealing one in the 10th to edge Michael Szajewski 7-6 in C-side competition.
