A child has shot dead a fellow 12-year-old student and seriously wounded two others in a classroom gun rampage in Finland, police have announced. Video shows police arresting the suspected school shooter.
12-year-old suspect was detained less than an hour after yesterday's shooting. Police said he admitted to carrying out the deadly act during questioningFinnish police declared today that the 12-year-old boy suspected of shooting and killing a classmate while injuring two others was a victim of bullying and said this had driven him to commit the act.
The two 12-year-old girls injured in the attack remain in hospital, according to Finnish press. One is a Finnish citizen and the other has dual Finnish-Kosovan citizenship. When it comes to a child, it's hard to say how much he still understands his act and its consequences.
The minimum age of criminal liability in Finland is 15 years, which means the suspect cannot be formally arrested.
