We can only hope the two acts reunite on stage one day, because Meg's “Butter” verse is sublime.
BTS might as well have been on stage the whole night, thanks to their fun audience reactions and the fact that a room full of fans was cheering on their every move. And can you blame them? Because of the pandemic, this marks BTS's first in-person appearance at an American award show since the 2020 Grammys. They've welcomed a whole new era of fans ever since the beginning of last year, and this AMAs appearance will surely usher in thousands more.
V gently, jokingly pushed him away from the mic to make room for Suga, who spoke in Korean : “We made our U.S. TV debut four years ago at the AMAs, and I had no idea we would be able to receive the Artist of the Year. I think it’s all thanks to ARMY.” Jungkook then stepped up to the mic to say a few words of thanks to ARMY in English. “We believe that this award opens up the beginning of our new chapter," he said.
