Fair trade: Bryce Harper swapped hats with fan sitting near the Phillies dugout in the middle of Thursday's game.
Bryce Harper might not be playing baseball at the moment, but that doesn’t mean he can’t have a bit of fun in the Philadelphia Phillies dugout.
On Thursday, the Phillies were hosting the San Diego Padres, with Harper sitting out as he recovers from a platelet-rich plasma injection into his right elbow. Fun stuff, right? To pass the time sitting in the dugout, Harper engaged with some hilarious shenanigans with a Phillies fan sitting nearby. In the middle of the sixth inning, cameras caught Harper talking with said Phillies fan as the two negotiated a trade for their hats! In a funny and heartwarming moment, Harper tossed his hat to a Phillies fan and the fan tossed his back to complete the trade.
How cool is that? The Phillies fan who swapped hats with Harper posted a picture of it on Twitter, signed and everything! That’s a pretty sweet hat, honestly! I see why Harper made the trade.
