Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler is set to miss an undetermined amount of time after suffering a setback from a hamstring injury Wednesday, head coach Nathaniel Hackett confirmed.
Asked if the injury could threaten the rest of Hamler’s season, Hackett said, “We’re still evaluating everything right now. Obviously his care is our No. 1 priority, so we want to be sure we’re doing everything to help him get back.”
Hamler, the third-year wide receiver, has struggled to consistently stay on the field the past two seasons. Hamler was finally starting to find his stride, playing 53% or more of Denver’s offensive snaps in four straight games, when he suffered a hamstring injury in practice as the Broncos came out of their bye week and began preparing for Tennessee. He has been inactive in each of the three games since that injury.
“He’s a hell of a player, so whenever he gets back, it’s going to be awesome,” defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero said.“Special man”:
