In the Broncos’ 17-10 loss at the Titans on Sunday, Tennessee ran a trick play in the second half to take the lead. Here’s a breakdown of what happened.
The result:
Ryan Tannehill took the snap and handed it to Derrick Henry, who took a few steps then turned and tossed the ball back to Tannehill. All three of the Titans’ receivers pretended to run block off the line of scrimmage, then turned upfield on vertical routes. Their sell job worked as the majority of the Broncos’ secondary bit hard on the fake. On the right side of the field, the Broncos lost track of Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
