The coin recently sold for over £60,000 and again for £25,500 - the lowest minimum price being £10,000
With more than three million new King Charles coins entering circulation this year, new research has revealed that some collectors could have up to £63,000 sat in their coin pots. The research, carried out by UK Debt Expert, looked at eBay purchasing trends from the last six months to find out just how many vintage coins in Britain have been sold for, and revealed which are the most lucrative.
Marked in memory of the UK’s departure from the European Union, this 50p is sought after by collectors. One King Charles's £5 note, only distributed this year, recently sold at a price tag of £2,800 and will most likely only go up in value as his reign continues. Speaking about the value of vintage coins and how to make the most from your collection, Maxine McCreadie, a personal finance expert at UK Debt Expert, said: “As King Charles’ new coins are issued across the UK, there’s no better time to have a look at your own collection and see what can be turned into cash.
