Ditza Heiman, shown right with her late partner, Zvi Shdaimah, is believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas gunmen The British family of a ‘wonderful’ great-grandmother has told how they ‘can only hope’ for her safe return after she was seized by Hamas terrorists from her Israeli kibbutz. Ditza Heiman, 84, is thought to be among Israelis being held hostage in Gaza by the militants after their surprise attack on Saturday.
’ To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Ditza is not on the list of the dead being compiled by the kibbutz and the working assumption is that she is being held hostage across the border. ‘She is the most wonderful woman, an enormously warm and loving woman, a real family person who is devoted to her children, grandchildren and happily great grandchildren,’ her niece said.
