In light of the confusion generated by Justice Minister David Lametti’s last-minute announcement, following the Federal Court of Appeal’s decision on our judicial challenge, that he would take the case to the Supreme Court, we think that it would be highly desirable for responsibility over the Official Languages Act to be centralized in a distinct agency, writes Lily Crist.
