It's been an efficient Election Day thus far in Northeast Ohio.
The polls opened at 6:30 a.m. with no apparent issues. Brisk voting took place at the Rocky River Recreation Center, where a steady stream of voters was greeted by sign holders outside. On the East Side, residents used every voting machine at Woodbury Elementary School in Shaker Heights, with one calling it a “well-oiled machine.”
A line in the Liverpool Township Community Center in Medina County was long and filled with a mix of office and construction workers, but it moved quickly and without any problems. Once inside a former school cafeteria, where rows of machines were set up, the pace was fast and smooth. Ohioans will select their next U.S. senator, as well as the state’s governor, attorney general, secretary of state, auditor, treasurer, three Supreme Court justices and 15 representatives in Congress.
