Brett Sutter will wear the ‘C’ this season for the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers.
That has seemed like a foregone conclusion since the 35-year-old forward signed an AHL-level contract with the Flames’ farm club over the summer. The Wranglers will open their season with Sunday’s matinee against the Coachella Valley Firebirds at the Saddledome. Puck-drop is set for 1 p.m.
