BrendonUrie supports TaylorSwift & slams 'toxic dude' Scooter Braun
"This fucking Scooter Braun shit, like what a piece of shit, right?" Urie said of Braun. "You guys know about this dude? It just like broke my heart, I read Taylor's statement and I was like, 'That sounds about right,' ya know. Toxic dudes doing toxic bullsh*t in this toxic industry... yeah, he doesn't sound like a very good person... it's a shitshow to learn how awful people can be just for a profit, just for a monetary gain, and maybe some clout.
Urie was referring to Swift's statement in the wake of the weekend's news that Braun had acquired Swift's former label, Big Label Machine Group, in a by his Ithaca Holdings arm backed by the massive global investment firm the Carlyle Group.
Urie, who called Braun a "fucking asshole," went on to say that he thought it was "illegal to do a business turn behind the people who wrote the stuff. Like you can't do it without their knowledge. There's a certain amount of time legally that you have to let the people know...like there's gotta be a precedent for that -- not toxic masculinity."
