Free State police have arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of seven people at the Lismore Farm in Kestell district.

Three bodies burnt beyond recognition were discovered inside a torched car at a farm in Pienaar on Friday. Police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli said a farm worker discovered the vehicle and called police. Officers found human remains on the driver's seat, passenger seat and in the boot of the Hyundai i10. The motive for the killings is being investigated.Seven people have been killed at Lismor Farm District Kestell in the Free State.

"Eskom has been operating as a monopoly for over 100 years and having one company taking up the role of providing energy to the entire country poses a great risk. If it [Eskom] fails, its failure becomes a peculiar failure for the entire country," he said.
