JUST IN | Labour Court interdicts Nehawu members from striking

Soldiers were on Monday deployed outside Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus amid the Nehwau protests that have disrupted operations at hospitals countrywide.

ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen said when paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the bike driver showing no signs of life. Although police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, declined to give extensive details on the incident, she confirmed that police have mobilised resources into the case.

It comes after four days of protest action, primarily isolated to the Khayelitsha area, which caused some disruption of healthcare services at Khayelitsha District Hospital and Michael Mapongwana Community Day Centre. Makwarela used the certificate to prove that he was a cleared of his insolvency so he could return to office as mayor of Tshwane.
