It's been a tumultuous time at the helm for Molefi Ntseki, and today he and Kaizer Chiefs have officially gone separate ways.

A club statement on X said, “Following a meeting on Monday morning, Molefi Ntseki’s tenure as Head Coach of Kaizer Chiefs has ended amicably by mutual consent.”Molefi Ntseki oversaw 13 matches at Chiefs and also conducted business which resulted in NINE new faces arriving in the most recent transfer window. That’s just four wins to go with three draws and six defeats in 13 matches. They’ve scored 13 goals and conceded 11 under the former Bafana Bafana man.

Itumeleng Khune has represented Kaizer Chiefs with great distinction. He recently made his 364th appearance for Amakhosi, the most of any player in the club’s PSL era history. The 2023-24 campaign will be his last at the club as a player, so a long-term replacement must therefore be found. Katlehong-born Lungile Nkosi, still just 20, could be that man.
