'I'm just glad that I was there to help the man who was in danger'
A bus depot manager has been praised after saving a man from a knife attack. Zachary McAskill was working as an operations manager at Stagecoach's Hyde Road depot in Ardwick when an incident began to unfold outside on November 11 last year.
This meant that the man being attacked was able to board a bus and get to safety. The incident was not reported to the police due to a lack of CCTV of the incident, Stagecoach say, but he has still been recognised for his bravery by the company.Zachary said: "I'm just glad that I was there to help the man who was in danger. That situation could have easily escalated and ended with a loss of life.
