The breakdown occurred at about 9:20 a.m. and forced OC Transpo to move service to the eastbound platforms at Lyon, Pimisi and Bayview stations. Buses were pressed into service to move passengers west from Lyon station. OC Transpo said it had staff on site to help direct passengers.

The fault occurred at about 9:05 a.m., stopping a train on the tracks just a few metres outside Tunney’s Pasture station. One frustrated passenger told this newspaper he spent 30 minutes on a stopped train before it slowly made its way to Lees station. Passengers were then told to board a train on the other track, which they did, before another announcement told them to return to the original train.
