The boy is in a critical condition in hospital
A ten-year-old boy has been left in critical condition after receiving an electric shock inside a Blackpool hotel.
The ten-year-old's injuries suggest a 'high voltage' of electricity was involved, according to Lancashire Constabulary. A spokesperson for the hotel told LancsLive it has voluntarily closed its doors and that it is co-operating with police and council enquiries.A spokesman for the hotel said: “We are deeply saddened by this recent incident involving a child who has received a shock on Sunday evening within our reception lounge area.
“Our phone lines do remain open and we are working very closely with the Blackpool Council and the local enforcement to assist in their investigation.”
