Kody Crosby allegedly stole water heaters from two townhomes under construction on Blossom Pass Terrace and left the natural gas lines open.
The accused was driving a silver 2009 Ford Edge with Quebec plates and chrome rims and parked near 305 Blossom Park Terrace, according to police.
The accused is then seen on Minto security video loading the water heaters into the trunk of the Ford, according to police. Hours later, at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, two contracted crews showed up to do trim and baseboard work at the homes. The explosion happened at 6:18 a.m., injured several people and caused significant damage to surrounding homes, some of which were occupied.
