The Hoops youngster – selected for Ireland Under-21 duty – has detailed his big plans beyond this season.
Bosun Lawal says he is in constant contact at Celtic as he aims to become a breakthrough star for Brendan Rodgers next season.
Lawal has been transformed from a defender into a midfielder under Adam and that is where he would like to see his career progress due to the role allowing him a bigger impact on games. He hopes to finish his time in English League One on a high before returning north of the border to resume his career with Celtic.
On his first year in senior football, he added: "It's what I have been wanting. I needed the first-team environment and first-team football. Thankfully everything is going well. As for where he sees himself in the long-term positionally, he continued: "I'd say my preference is in midfield but I'm cool with whatever. I feel like I can have a bigger impact on the game from the middle than from behind. Going forward and defending shows more of me as a player."
