Western Cape Premier Alan Winde's spokesperson Cayla Murray confirmed to News24 that he intended to appoint Madikizela, a former transport MEC and DA provincial leader, as a special advisor.
"The appointment has not yet been finalised, as the national Department of Public Service and Administration must first vet the application, in line with associated regulations," she said.
